We invited a new friend to the warehouse to play a game of What’s The Price?

Transcript

Host: Baltimore, let’s play What’s the Price?

Jonathan: My name is Jonathan. I am an educator in the state of Maryland and I live in Curtis Bay, so South Baltimore. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Second Chance, but from what my friends have told me, it is a thrift store where you are able to get secondhand items at discounted prices. I look for deals constantly. It’s an expensive world out there. And as an educator, it is not like I’m bringing in 6 figures at the end of the year, so.

Host: We’re going to show Jonathan 3 items from our warehouse in South Baltimore. He’ll inspect each item, then he’ll guess how much he thinks each item costs. Play along!

Jonathan: Uh, a hammock and a self-standing hammock, which is always the important hammocking because you want to be able to rest out, but you also don’t want to spend the time putting it into trees and such. Oh, and it’s padded. Okay. All right. Yeah, that is a good hammock. I have absolutely no concept of like what one of these would cost fresh out the market, but like it feels like this would be somewhere between $400 and $500. Whoa, $68. Uh, I mean, that’s a sweet deal because now I’m thinking I might have over— very well overpriced this at $500. So maybe thinking that this was even $250 at a point, a solid get.

A double. I mean, is this a Viking Double Wing Oven. This is for the people who are very much into entertaining, but also maybe wanting to start a pizza franchise. A double oven, it’s steel, it’s— you can have this be as any size that you want and you can have multiple going at once. You could cook 2 turkeys. See, this is, this is definitely the oven for the person who wants to celebrate Thanksgiving in style. $360. Whoa, I love playing this. I’m very much a fan now of the Second Chance game. It’s a fun game. How long can you hold out before I’m not that type of person, so like I immediately would have probably bought it at the $365, but now it’s what, $237.25?

Oh yeah. And it’s a swivel. It’s a swivel. Um, it does feel like I could get some good pop. Uh, but I’m— sometimes I don’t need, I don’t need that much liftoff, you know? But it feels good, solid. It doesn’t even feel like you need to put that much love into it. This chair just feels like it just needs you. I mean, I’d be comfortable going $450 knowing that there might be some things that I’m not seeing immediately. Uh, but it’s a good swivel and a good rock. Yeah, $138. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I would buy 4. You could buy this for $138 right now, Febreze it, give it a good wash, let it dry out, and then you got yourself a swiveling rocking Lazy Boy for 80% less than what you would pay retail.

Yeah, if you’re looking to redo an entire house, this is the place to, to get your things. And you’re helping, and by coming here, you’re helping people. There’s everything, anything you need, everything you need. Is here and there’s at least something for you.
